13305716, Someone, somewhere will find a way to be mad any and everything

Especially if you already dislike the person, it's real easy to find something they did to make/keep you mad at them.

They talk about that "joke" not landing, although I doubt he expected to elicit guffaws speaking the truth about some real shit.
13305717, It was a funny joke imo
Posted by Marauder21, Wed Jan-09-19 03:53 PM
13305719, Didn't hear it when it aired but it seems funny to me. The most important...

part came after the punchline.

Mofos stuck though.
13305720, Poutrageous!!!!

Like...why even?
13305723, if everything is an outrage then nothing is an outrage.

How many of the people in that room even knew what he was talking about?

They think Wakanda is the black panther party

Isn't Sandberg from the Bay too? Just folks looking to get mad at nothing, if anything I appreciated the end. I think folks are just reacting cause of the camera cut to Ryan Coogler so that equaled to "We need to be mad."

Also looked at the sites you linked and yea The Root and The Illy aren't exactly the best journalism in the world.
13305731, i ain't mad and i ain't even mad that people is mad.
Posted by IkeMoses, Wed Jan-09-19 04:59 PM
13305733, But are you mad at the people who are mad that people are mad?

13305735, absolutely.

*skatin' the rings of saturn*

..and miles to go before i sleep...
13305738, Wait, so black people are mad? People missed the joke then.

The first part of the "joke" was SUPPOSE to be a hammy awkward bad joke that presenters typically tell. The Real joke was the under the breadth acknowledgment of injustice and police brutality at a big hollywood event.

I was sure if anyone was mad it would be white folks for him calling out police brutality.

I am starting to see that there is a certain element of twitter legitimately working hard to manufacture outrage.

Second time in a week I've witness it. The first is when folks got mad at Chance for his comments on working with R Kelly.

https://news.avclub.com/chance-the-rapper-says-surviving-r-kelly-comments-were-1831529562

I had a hard time believing that folks legitimately didn't believe he was taken out of context.

But yeah, I am late.

Russian and otherwise

there are people actively working to manufacture outrage for no reason.

and Twitter does NOT regulate it.

13305746, most jokes etc are over the heads of the gen pub

13305770, The day Twitter dies will be a day of celebration.

13305774, Probably mad because they don't know much about the Black Panthers
Posted by flipnile, Thu Jan-10-19 08:51 AM
Gotta go look up what dude said, let it sink in and maybe a few years from now they will get the 'joke.'

I don't have a problem with dude's joke, even if it was a bit of showing off how 'woke' he is.
13305781, It sounded like a John Mulaney joke, who was on staff
Posted by B9, Thu Jan-10-19 09:37 AM
But I can't believe anyone is actually "upset" about that. Just extrapolating their outsourced outrage by Coogler's expression.
13306042, it reminded me of his character in Brooklyn 99
Posted by Jay Doz, Thu Jan-10-19 07:19 PM
that same under-the-breath stream-of-thought monologue thing is pretty standard on the show
13305824, I'm on twitter and I haven't seen anyone mad about it
Posted by Rjcc, Thu Jan-10-19 11:38 AM
please stop reading articles that tell you what random twitter accounts no one has verified, or just random cranks, are saying.
