still one of the all-time great opening scenes to a film I've seen. You couldn't tell me I wasn't about to experience a bonafide classic when Belly started.

You also couldn't tell me that Belly was anything close to a good movie once it ended either.

Absolutely horrible but I damned know every line. And will watch it almost every time it's on. LOL

Even watched the indy film - Gummo - that's shown when Sincere and Mark are at Tommie's house.

So many memorable scenes.....

I still feel like there's an assembly cut somewhere with 30-45 minutes of extra story.

In hindsight, I'm glad Nas took this as a cue to never act again.

I'd love to see one of these black directors working today remake Belly.
