Let do this again, no album that i have been looking forward to this week.
Last week's post: http://board.okayplayer.com/okp.php?az=show_topic&forum=4&topic_id=13290185&mesg_id=13290185&page=3
If there are albums missing from the list below, please post them.
What albums will you be listening to?
Im confused by tom morello's album, didnt it come out during the summer? I thought I had seen it for sale on google play then didnt see it last week. Ill check it out if its actually available. I guess Ill listen to Quavo's album too.

13291554, RE: New Albums - 10/12/2018 Posted by BlakStaar, Fri Oct-12-18 10:31 AM
I only recognize the following artists, which includes Quavo, and I don't even f*ck with the Migos like that.
Calvin Johnson - A Wonderful Beast Elvis Costello & The Impostors - Look Now Eric Clapton - Happy Xmas Graham Parker - Cloud Symbols Quavo - Quavo Huncho
I feel basic AF. Am I missing out on anything? I normally listen to soul, jazz, funk and a little hip-hop. Sometimes indie and rock but those aren't my favorite genres.

Ella Mai isn’t even on the list. Makes me wonder what else is missing? I’m not part of her core demographic but I’ll stop hating/being a music snob and check it out.

13293273, quavo was eh Posted by mista k5, Mon Oct-22-18 12:39 PM
not bad but it really just seemed like a lot of the same.
only songs that stood out were champagne rose, go all the way and bubble gum.
i did like the beat on go all the way and champagne rose might stay in rotation.
he should had made a short album if he wasnt going to branch off the formula.

13294824, quavo has grown on me Posted by mista k5, Mon Oct-29-18 11:31 AM
songs kind of bump when they are mixed in with other songs.
ella mai is not really my thing. not the type of r&b i like. nothing wrong with it. only song i could say i really enjoyed was everything.
i think im done with albums from this week.

13291685, This might be a CD cop for me Posted by DJR, Fri Oct-12-18 09:10 PM
I’ve only listened to one song, but I’ve been reading the thread here intently.
If there’s real liner notes, that might make my decision easier. This seems like an album you play in the headphones and read the liner notes. And then do it again. Until you absorb it and really take it in.
I think the last CD I bought was the Foreign Exchange album that dropped in 2015? And that was only because it came autographed by both of them, along with the download for almost the same price you’d pay for a download anyway. Good deal, plus I wanted to support, plus I knew I’d like the album.
This one might be worthy?

13291731, Definitely worthy...period Posted by Anonymous, Sat Oct-13-18 05:10 PM
