You nailed it. Especially re: we're in this mess cause folks are dismissive/ignorant to just how bad it is, and/or disturbingly apathetic about it all because it doesn't directly affect them.

The shit is bad, but will only get worse if folks don't mobilize and aggressively combat all this bullshit/The Bad Team head on. Just this morning, I signed up to do some canvassing/make some calls/hit the field over the course of the next few weeks in local communities where numbers are heading in the wrong direction for Repugnantcan candidates in my typically dark blue state. I live in MA so canvassing/hitting the phones for candidates is more or less a waste of time in most elections as you can generally count on everything remaining blue, but I am taking *zero* chances this year because if we don't knock the midterms out of the park, we may be done for good. Every seat matters.
