bleh weekend for me. had someone barf (ralph) in my ride on my first trip on saturday so needless to say didnt hit my goal. still waiting on uber to respond. feels like no amount will be worth it but i guess it helps.

slow and cold monday out in the desert, feels like 60º. had to throw on a sweater.

Then they forgot their iPhone and wanted me to drive back and return it.

Had a group of older women and ole girl said “can I just throw up out the window?” while I was going 70mph

Pulled over on the side of the road and she threw up over the guard rail

I don’t drive anymore. Fuck that shit.

freaking folks dont respect the UP TO 6 people in an XL. I keep getting requests for 7/8 people.

this was a group from BWW after the fight. a couple got in the back and were scamming (lol) all the way to the house. i didnt notice anyone was overly drunk so i didnt even consider offering the bags. they had two kids with them and when i heard the window open i figured it maybe cuz one of the kids pooped in their diaper. it was real close to the drop off so i didnt sweat it.

when i pull into the drive way everyone got off fairly quick except for chick in the back. she was just sitting there for a good minute. she finally got up and got out. she went to the side of the house then back to the group. i didnt think anything of it.

i wasnt about to inspect anything while parked there and i didnt for a second think anyone had thrown up. as i started driving i thought there was still like a fart smell. i got another request and started heading there before thinking i better make sure they didnt actually dump a diaper in the trash can i have in the back. pulled over in a gas station and thats when i saw it. wasnt the biggest mess but it was plenty of a mess. i cancelled the trip and took the pictures, go the gloves on and got to cleaning it.

thankfully my sense of smell is weird and it didnt bother me at all (definitely something ive been fearing though). for a second i was considering keeping going after i cleaned up but figured it wasnt worth it.

im thinking i might switch to an earlier time so i can drop off people at bars instead of picking them up.

I picked up a couple on Sunday at 9pm. First ride of the night. Dude gets in the front, she is in the back.

All a sudden I don’t see her anymore and the window goes down in the back. “Did she just throw up? He was like gotdammit. Now I have to pay for the cleanup fee since it’s my account. I hate you”

I think I got $150 for it. Did you take pics? You have to take pics before cleaning it up.

Went out to start Uberin' Saturday morning and tire pressure light was on.

Went to put air in it, and it went flat again in 20 minutes. Took it to the spot and notcied a split in my drivers side tire. Put more air in, and took it to the good-good used tire place. Got a good as new front tire for 42 bucks!

Started driving and

GOT PULLED OVER WITH A PASSENGER IN THE F$$#%%@ CAR!!!!!

I didn't come to a complete stop at a stop sign. Cop gave me a warning...then informed me that the brake lights on my left side were completely out..jeez..

Passenger was mad cool though. We joked about it the whole way to his destination. Wanted to make 200, only made 161.00

Picked up a couple records...had the grandbaby over. Panthers and Steelers won...yay.

did you stick to 16 hours? i was doing about $10/hr on friday. it was looking like saturday might had been better.

im constantly worried about being pulled over. i try to play it safe but theres just gonna be moments were you dont completely come to a complete stop, dont realize you are speeding or whatever. then theres always the brake lights lol

i got my first 3 star review, it just said service. im thinking it was my first trip on friday. it was some lady at walgreens. she got in and was all quiet. i said hi hows it going but now im thinking she didnt hear me. it kept happening where people would get in and i would greet them. they wouldnt say anything then they would greet me as if i hadnt said anything. so im thinking i need to wait for them to get settled and speak up. that ride was just silent all the way since i thought she didnt want to speak since she didnt respond. she was probably waiting for me to greet her.

if i had completed saturday i dont think i would had gone over $120 total.

Saturday, after I got the tire, and after the ticket, lol. It was kinda dead. My last two rides made up most of my money.

Sunday was jumping! Hated to stop when I did, but i was exhausted and I wanted to spend some time with the grand before I had to take him home.

Almost had someone throw up once...she got out the car, did her business and ended up catching a ride with someone she knew that was passing by, lol.

Had a dude try and get over on me with the "Express pickup" jawn. I went to the location, but he asked if i could come around the corner and get him. I went to the location, told him that I had to pick him up from the express pickup jawn...waited, than cancelled. I already knew that if I did go to him, or if he did end up walking to me, I didnt want to deal with the potential headache that he wouldve been, so I took the 3 dollar cancellation fee and pressed on, lol.


I've actually had a 1 star rating before...navigation...Atlanta streets can be nuts. From folk turning the street signs sideways to the confusion of getting on 75/85 from Freedom Parkway...it's whatever...but I've been sitting on a 4.93 rating for months!

just a couple of times but i dont feel good doing it. one was on friday night. they were in a completely different shopping center down the street. dont know how that was mixed up.

it was a lady but she was so drunk i couldnt tell if it was better to try to talk to her in spanish or english, she passed the phone to a dude and he was slightly more helpful. once i figured it out i pulled into the shopping center and dude was just like youre to my right, like if that was helpful. once i figured out where they were i pulled up to a dark store and didnt see anyone for a minute. i made sure the doors were locked until i saw them come out lol

apparently dude had just opened up a restaurant and i guess they were celebrating. the lady got in and told me she had two glasses of wine, i didnt ask how big the glasses were but she was obviously gone lol at some point she even asked me if she was her....like huh??? ended up being a pretty short ride. i gotta stop bending the rules for folks. if you dont put the right pick up spot thats on you. ima sit there and wait til the cancellation time.

many times the map just sends me to the wrong side of the building and i look stupid waiting there. theres a lot of construction happening here and ive had to drive in areas im not familiar with so i was sure i would had gotten some bad ratings but not yet.

160 is not bad for 12 hrs. im so tempted to try an hour or two during the week. could use the extra money right now.

Wife normally drives during the week, but the kid had a dentist appt. So i changed my work schedule and drove the hours she normally would. made 42 bucks from 6am-9am.

The ride with the call girl was interesting. I was trying hard not to sound like her daddy, but she initiated the convo letting me know hoe she pays her bills. I went into daddy mode, then Taxicab Confession mode

"Arent you ever scared to meet dudes at hotels?"

I guess she felt like she would never see me again so it was whatever.

i doubt this was a regular thing for her, maybe not her first time but maybe she felt safer taking her chances in the drive through with two strangers than bumping into someone she knew inside the store.

what exactly is it you wait for on Friday?.. seems like just more grind.. a second gig would be more consistent and less hassle ultimately wouldn't it?

I don't no I support your hustle and it does seem to put extra cash in pocket with some flexibility to just not do it if you don't want to... probably the thing right there I'm guessing... a second gig means you have to show up... still seems like a lot of planning and stressing for a somewhat limited return..

man I like time more than money pretty much any day though.

i was taking it easy for months and just ended up wasting time. couldnt say i was really enjoying my time.

considering my main gig is so slow and doesnt really tire me out i feel i definitely have the energy to do another gig.

being in texas with its right to work laws having a second "real" gig could be a risk thats not worth it. i think minimum wage in texas is $7.25/hr. i would hope that i could get something for $11/hr in retail or something but i probably would not enjoy it. i would have set hours that could end up conflicting with my main gig. uber gives me the flexibility right now to only do it hours that give me max return or to work extra hours when money gets real tight.

finding a second gig that i would really enjoy and could turn into my main gig would be the goal but dont really have anything on deck.

im trying to keep my return to $20/hr and up gross. if that doesnt happen ill be ditching uber eventually.

I look at it like this...

It's super flexible, so you drive when you want to, as opposed to having punch a clock.

Still being somewhat new to the state, I get to drive around see parts of the city...and sometimes other cities, that I wouldnt have a reason too.

It gives me a LEGIT reason to be out of the house as long as I want, lol.

THe money I make is instantly accessible...I don't have to wait for payday to get it.

I do value my time, which is why I only do it on weekends, and I get out as early as I can, so I can get back as soon as I can. I set money/time limits for myself so I'm not out there all day long.

Thats my record shopping money, lol

Feeling unenthused about going to work.

Turned in my cable boxes Monday, got my Fire Stick yesterday, and I'm officially cable free for the first time in over a decade.

Stepped on the scale after a week and a half of take out/fast food and gained 5.6 pounds. Feeling a little overwhelmed, but I got groceries and plenty of healthy food. I just hope that my little binge is over.

Jeez, I really hate black people sometimes. Can't even go to my local bar to have a drink with my cousin Sunday night with at some bum azz taking my phone OFF OF MY TABLE! I can't even set it down to go 2 feet away to re-up our brews without getting got. The thief saw me losing my mind trying to find it too which pisses me off even more. I love my peoples to death, but at times I wanna whup an azz or two just for ish like this.

One time a dude who worked barback stole the bartenders bag of coffee from the back and then had the nerve to help her look for it.

Did he get outed? Nothing like a thief getting what's coming to them!

once had someone steal the only copy of my band's second demo tape... there's no way anybody dug us enough to steal our ish he was just a trifling thief. man F that guy! i still wish I had that tape especially since we lost the 2 inch masters and can't ever get some of those versions back... it's probably not true but I will forever feel that my best guitar work was done on that version of lizard boy.. lost and gone.. that fool doesn't have it and probably never played it. punk.

I had a garden hose and garden stones with my kids handprints in them stolen off my porch one night.. that and we also had a rocking chair stolen off our porch once too... who the F takes those things you're not selling any of that and you don't need it GTFOHWTBS!

And REALLY grounds for an azz whuppin.

i did have someone go into my car (i would have a real hard time unlocking it so i would leave it unlocked) and ruffle up all the papers they could find in the glove box or whatever. they didnt find anything worth stealing.

come to think of it they may have stolen some mixtapes i made in a different occasion lol

because I lost my glove.. my pops refused to buy me a new one because he was mad at me for not taking care of my stuff so I sat most if not all the season out that year... later on I learned that it was actually a bully from my school had stolen it and thrown it into the basement of the school behind stacks and stacks of chairs and old carpets n ish... man that guy was a jerk... one of my greatest elementary school memories was the day the entire class revolted against him.. we had a class meeting and we all just laid out for the teacher everything he'd been doing to us for years.. his reign of terror was done.. his little sister was crying because she thought we were being mean to him when he was just getting about 5 or 6 years of his well deserved comeuppance.. the teacher was stunned... his mother was the School Principal too she got called in and was mortified.... and us the class were relieved and elated from cathartic release.. that day I found out what happened to my glove and got it back... man thieves is scum.

no coffee yet... it's wrong... don't talk to me yet... I'll be back we can get into it all then.

I really hate being commish of my neighborhood Fantasy Football league..

im going up against the only 5-0 team and they d brees (on a bye) in their line up. they have mahones in the bench so maybe they dont bother until saturday/sunday morning.

a couple of weeks ago i did really well but my opponent left a few players that were out in their line up.

did great last week but opponent did even better. i think it was like 133 to 146.

this was a random yahoo league but i had to itch that scratch lol

extra headaches like that can suck the joy right out of things.

mainly because it'll be (should be) painless enough and I need to get it done and off my plate so while I'd rather have had the notice it's more about the principle of having the consideration to give me notice than not having time to deliver... plus we tried to do this over a month ago but there was an issue and I had to go back to dev with it and change the whole delivery method so he had been put off once himself.

holding it in a half hour but he's already warned me he might be 15 minutes late lol! figures.

meh it's all good though... test went well and smooth now it's done and gone so alls well that ends well.
