and I feel like he using it as an excuse to just say whatever. seems disingenuine to me. I don't want to discount his mental health issues, but don't want it to be used a cop out either.

there are other things at play that he has complete control over. his self-importance. he seems to believe that everything he says and does is always the greatest. that seems like he's either completely full of himself or utterly oblivious to the rest of the world. maybe all of this could so be related to mental health?

he also seems to be going backward and being very simple with his thoughts. when he says we just need love, it makes me cringe. that's a very simple, utopian mindset that doesn't take reality into account.
