They looked so young and out of place on my campus. You could tell from the way the walked, the clothes they rocked, and how they did their hair and make-up, if make up was their thing. And as soon as they opened their mouth, their youth was almost always confirmed.
Regardless of the details of what happened or didn't in this case, there's no way he didn't know at 22 that these girls or girl in particular was way too young for whatever they had planned.
