Sean and I met on the boards and became really close friends years ago. We talked often (though less so in recent months) and made a point to see each other and act as foolish as possible (our favorite pastime) at least a few times a year. He knew my friends and I knew his. We had the unfortunate task of relaying the news to each other last night while remembering that yesterday was also the day he lost his mom the year before. He would’ve turned 50 on August 2nd - a date I managed to forget for 3 years in a row and he never let me live it down. He was a curmudgeon of the “get off my lawn variety” that I relentlessly made fun of and he was one of my dearest friends. - the kind you don’t have to see everyday to pick up where you left off every time. And we did. And we will again.

RIP, my love. Promise to celebrate every August 2nd from now until forever.
