I'm fairly certain that her "death penalty" line was hyperbole. And due process doesn't have to be a judicial thing.

Most of the cats that have been caught up in this have eventually copped to it. That's fine. Send them on their way.

I don't see a problem with allowing someone to present their side of the story to show that they may not have done what they're accused of.
