use to mean something negative
later morphed into being something positive also

and *that* is why it isn't nearly used as much anymore

it lost its meaning

you have to consider the context/speaker/audience to be able to understand what is being conveyed

*if* we do that with masculine then the same will (or has already I guess) happen

if what we get out of it is some dude wearing maybelline, sephora and mac and yet still thinking (or being accepted as) masculine and you - or whomever - thinks thats a "win"
