Which is a pretty black experience.
Like being black in america can mean moving from discussing avocado toast and favorite type of Kimchi with your white co-workers and then getting a collect call from prison from your cousin.
Black movies and tv up until this point weren't great at capturing that duality. Either it's hood shit or boogie shit.
