13233869, Lost a good family friend over the weekend...
Posted by Creole, Mon Feb-12-18 01:25 PM
Damned near family. His dad and my parents been friends since the sandbox. The young brother was shot 11 times. Got out to check/change his tires and was assaulted. Coward ass shooter hit him with his back turned. Sad!

I’m just letting this off here because the entire situations has been on my mind since I got the news early Sunday morning. Right now, I’m stuck in the office and definitely ain’t sharing this with these folks.

RIP, JE!
13233874, Wow, that's tragic. Peace 2 you, brother.

13233927, Entirely too tragic.

13233930, Tough part is thinking that he may not have known who his executioner was...
Posted by Creole, Mon Feb-12-18 02:45 PM
Not sure if that makes much of difference but damn. Come out of the dark and into the light with a hoodie over your face and not even let the brotha see who you are.

Bitchassedness is still hot in 2018?

Thanks, man!
13233936, more than ever, man

>Bitchassedness is still hot in 2018?

13233911, That's so pitiful. I lost a neighbor in a similar fashion three years ago

He was 18...my dad had taught him how to play drums and all that.

He had some friends who weren't the best types to be around, but he was never involved in any feuds, drug sales, etc etc. His boys got into it verbally with some dudes from literally two blocks over, and he was the driver. He didn't say anything, but as he drove off, one dude was muggin him and he said "what's up???" and kept driving.

The dude caught him a hour later in front of Baskin Robbins, 12:30 Noon, broad daylight on Crenshaw...walked up to him in his car as he was just sitting there...went up to his window, and said "what's up now????" and shot him five times in the head.

Dude was a 17 year old minor, yet they tried him as an adult, and he got 42 years. He showed ZERO remorse, which bothered and even scared me the most.

I definitely hope the killer in this situation gets brought to justice...do they have an idea who it is?
13233925, As of now, I don’t think there’s an idea who did it.
Posted by Creole, Mon Feb-12-18 02:39 PM
My understanding is that it happened in the parking lot of a vacant gas station. So, the likelihood of there being video is slim to none. Hopefully, other local businesses are able to provide something as far as surveillance video is concerned.

13233933, not that it matters i guess, but is there any kind of motive?
Posted by PROMO, Mon Feb-12-18 02:49 PM
also, i hope you're wrong about the surveillance.

maybe someone gets to talking and the perpetrator ends up getting caught. it happens.

sorry for your loss. that is truly awful.
13233949, No motive that I’ve heard of to this point...
Posted by Creole, Mon Feb-12-18 03:09 PM
It happened in ATL and I’m too far from those streets to get an inkling about anything.

>also, i hope you're wrong about the surveillance.
I’m hopeful as well because his son, fiancée, parents, and siblings deserve to know who did what, why they did it, and the justice meted as a result.

>maybe someone gets to talking and the perpetrator ends up
>getting caught. it happens.
I’m equally as hopeful that someone starts singing beautifully on this one as they would all others.

>sorry for your loss. that is truly awful.
Yeah! It is. I just think about his parents, who are the coolest and the sweetest people, and his son.

13234307, AHHH...in my case, the video SAVED and made the entire case.
Posted by -DJ R-Tistic-, Tue Feb-13-18 01:34 PM
Whole thing was caught. I'm not sure when they realized it was video from the 99 cent store, but that just showed the entire thing. It killed the defense's argument that my boy pulled a gun out...you can see him trying to drive off, without even yelling at dude.

So yeah man, I hoooooooope someone has video, even if it's from a few blocks away. Justice has to be served for real.
13233931, damn. be well my friend...
Posted by Trinity444, Mon Feb-12-18 02:47 PM
my son was doing work across from a trap house....as told by him
I told him let’s make it priority
get in and get out...

another thing...
he started growing locs and I hate it because every criminal on the news has them.
I’m so worried about it hindering him.

13233951, You never understand how real shiznit is until it hits this closely...

sorry to hear, man.

I'll never understand that $hxt.

I can 'understand' street shxt, but killin somebody over shxt they'd probly just give up or just 'because'....

I don't know, man.

Anyway. Be well, bro.
13233961, Yep! He’s one of those that we call “a good dude.”
Posted by Creole, Mon Feb-12-18 03:17 PM
Had his stuff together. Educated professional who was smart and about business. Took great care of and adored his son. He was making strides in his career.

Seemingly senseless!

13233939, Really sorry to hear that, man.
Posted by KiloMcG, Mon Feb-12-18 02:54 PM
Peace and blessings to you and everyone affected by this loss.
13233953, Thanks, Kilo!

Posted by bnicedh, Mon Feb-12-18 03:02 PM
I know it must be tough dealing with it while at work. Stay strong...
13233956, It’s tougher thinking about how much his absence will affect...
Posted by Creole, Mon Feb-12-18 03:13 PM
His his son, fiancee, siblings, and his parents.

I’ve been thinking of mine all day and wondering if I could be collected during a time like this. Done gave them the talk about being safe in the streets and always mindful of where they are.

13233954, I wish we didn’t hate ourselves so much
Posted by legsdiamond, Mon Feb-12-18 03:11 PM
I know it’s part of their plan but it’s frustrating.
13233957, True indeed!
