Like Keenan Ivory Wayans stayed with some hitler white looking women and you never questioned his blackness.

Since DIana Ross got away from Gordy she's been strictly in the white millionaire lifestyle for decades but can still admonish a Lil Kim titty in a black momma way and crack coupon jokes.

Early Childish Gambino imho wasn't hitting but I never questioned it not being from a certain black experience. Corny, yup. But he also kept it real; he was rapping about asian women and video games because he liked asian women and videogames like alot of herb'ed out black dudes do.

Even their name, 2 Dope Queens, invokes a certain based in hip-hop ideal that with their Twenty One Pilots take on culture feels forced. For instance towards the beginning of that first episode they had a whole 'Yaaas Queen' moment over their set/outfits and it felt like the whitest of white women saying it (forgetting about the queer appropriation)

It's as if they read the meme and thought it would be cool. Them being "oreos" ain't the problem its the fact they try to sell themselves as a puffed up version of authentically black which makes it an awkward listen.
