At least I can respect the 'smart shoes' as they have featured tech that explains the price point and are $720 off top. Paying $800 for something that retails just north of $200 (and isn't concert or sporting event tickets)...not feeling it. Too many other options out.

Hype beast want these and I get the allure, I'd love to have a pair of kicks that most people around me haven't seen and can't get but if I'm gonna drop serious bread on shoes, they gonna be some designer hard bottoms.

I might splurg just once on sneakers but even then, there's a LOT of high end competition (that are frankly, more fashionably versatile) so Levi 4's wouldn't be top of the list but rather in the mix.
