One reason I was upset is because of how overtly ignorant the comments were and secondly is because he didn't say this in front of a crowd to rally support via the lowest common denominator type commentary. He said what he said in front of other government officials in the course of shaping legislation, which means his backwards way of thinking is officially shaping the course of the country. Not to say it wasn't before, but his comments yesterday made it abundantly clear for all to see.

Like I said, I already didn't have the highest opinion of this dude, but yesterday truly floored me.
