like 2-3 votes per precinct or something like that.
that margin can easily be wiped out in philly or detroit alone.

ohio is tougher.
trump won by almost 5 mil more votes.
they seem to be trending older and whiter.

fl is always a close competitive swing state with a rapidly increasing latino population.
(including 100K exodus of puerto ricans to the mainland).
there are actually more registered dems in fl than repubs.
state dem party has just been disorganized or intentionally noncompetitive
(deb waserman schultz actually stopped candidates from running against her republican friends even in districts that leaned blue in the last presidential election).
obama won fl twice and fl certainly isnt getting whiter or more republican.

democrats win the same way democrats win most elections.
by increasing turnout (particularly among blacks and hispanics).
they should reengage labor unions as well.
unions were once a potent force for the dem party.
but they have been assaulted by republican state legislatures and governors while being abandoned by national dems.
to the credit of tom perez it looks like he is making a hard charge at labor unions based on the dnc hirings (perez was labor sec under obama too).

dems gotta fight voter suppression in these places as well. aclu and other orgs are doing their part through the courts. dems gotta get election officials in office to stop it altogether tho.
