Doesn't matter what he actually gets accomplished. As long as he talks about what is important to them in a way that indicates that he cares, he's got them locked down.

But to be fair, I think this behavior (loyal to your president no matter what) is common across all parties. Not anything really special with Trump.

You ask people in 2011 how Obama has made your life better, a bunch of them would say he hadn't. But they would still have strong support for him.
