along with anti-clinton sentiment like kilo said (theres a reason fox news has pretty much based their entire primetime lineup around demonizing clinton).

but since his election he hasnt done a single thing to broaden his base and swing a single voter his way. he has done plenty to make people abandon him tho. he failed to win a true majority in the republican primary and failed to do the same in the general. he had a lot of soft support that reluctantly gave him a chance.

i do a lot of volunteer work and canvassing for democratic campaigns now. and a lot of people who stayed home or voted 3rd party in protest realize their mistake and are fired the fuck up. last night was the 1st chance a lot of people got to channel that energy nationwide. and it resulted in historical precendents being set for democrats all across the country.

nothing is for certain with republican voter suppression methods (and a soon to be reshaped judiciary that is hostile to voting rights). but right now his chances at reelection are prolly under water regardless of who the dem candidate is.
