McConnell is going to have to make a calculation if there's a way they could impeach Trump that can make the GOP look like heroes and somehow retain a large portion of Trump's base.
They got all they were going to get out of Trump. The Supreme Court. Tax Cuts. Obamacare effectively neutered and enough conservative justices on the bench to tear it apart limb from limb.
All that's left is Trump's base.
