sign up for it, but get caught up by trusting the wrong folks. promises of love, being taken care of, etc. sometimes leads to being drugged, raped, threatened, beating. then you're stuck. lots of young runaways get stuck in pimp life.

that's not to say that some don't just willingly sign up, but I'd suspect that's less than those that get caught up before they realize what's happening.
