Next year Apple gets rid of Qualcomm so this purchase makes even less sense. I absolutely refuse to get caught in between a battle between Qualcomm and Apple while spending $1349 plus tax.
Negatives:
iOS 11 is the Ice Cream Sandwich of the apple world as it sucks.
NO HEADPHONE JACK
Glass back makes it prone to breaking and god forbid you refuse to drop $200 on AppleCare to get it fixed.
Notch is uglier than shit and not Apple-like at all.
Costs more than a MacBook after tax.
No VR support
Positives:
The device costs $357 to manufacture so Apple gets to the bag every time you buy a device.
Animated emojis.
Arguably the most powerful mobile chipset in any device.
Front facing camera is the best available.
tl;dr If you want this buy it
It's not enough for me as it doesn't meet my spec requirement.
