It's stigmatized for them now, and they've never liked that. Hence, "Why's it ok for YOU to say it and not me??" It's like the one thing they can't do that Black people can, and it irks them so much, because America is built on them being able to get away with stuff that we can't... having 'rights' that we don't have whether legally recognized or not. White rappers, comedians, entertainers can't use the word the same way Black ones can without some type of scrutiny or backlash, and they want that not to be the case. A white person can get cut from a team just because footage of them saying it to a Black person was released. But why am I explaining this? I'm out lol.
