Usually they are good at keeping their non-news related properties relatively slant free (See Simpson's multiple gags at Foxnews).
Not to say ESPN is a bastion of equality out of the kindness of their heart but its hard to keep current with the pop culture references if its an old white wasp culture... and staying 'cool' to middle america is of utmost importance for a sports show (sports radio withstanding)
