were never going to vote for Clinton, but who were willing to vote for the Democratic Party with Bernie on the ticket. Once he was off the ticket, they went back to being Independents and decided to vote for whoever they wanted.

The same way some Democrats who voted for Obama TWICE turned around and voted for Trump of all people, JUST to not vote for Clinton.

I would be more upset at Democrats for not showing up for Democrats than for Independents not showing up for the most Democrat of Democrats of all time - basically the personification of why they are Indies in the first place.

The fear of Trump (after the MSM spent a whole primary elevating him) and the "better chance with Dems" argument fell flat once people realized we had Obama for 8 years with a majority for his first 2, and only got Romneycare through, no increase minimum wage, and Democrats turning on him in 2014 in the midterms - just to turn around and have your candidate say "we are going to keep everything the same, cause could be worse!"

all of that + horrible campaigning + an MSM reporting Hillary having a 90+ percentage chance of winning......no wonder 47% of people stayed home. Trump didn't win. Hillary didn't lose. Apathy won.
