He had three albums worth of material to shape the way people would embrace NS, so you can't point to Be to say he "still had it" when NS dropped.
Three albums and nine years is a lot of music and time to form an expectation of the next album.
I just think the question "what did he do to okp" is a huge deflection from the fact the people have simply lost interest in his music.
