They report non scandals as scandals so they can pretend to be unbiased. They'd do the same with any candidate. We saw this long before Hillary. But when they need a false equivalence with Donald Trump, a lot of scandals need to be invented.

According to all the fact-checking organizations, she's been more honest in her public statements than any other presidential candidate this cycle, in either party. And compared to all national figures, she's second only to Barack Obama. So the narrative isn't that she's untrustworthy, it's "voters continue to feel that she's untrustworthy" (a self fulfilling prophecy).

At the end of her term at the State Department, she was the most admired woman in the world, and her approval rating was in the sixties while Obama's was in the forties.
