i think many of us want to be judged on our own merit
we want to compete on the same stage and at the same level as any other person
i would have preferred to see the first woman candidate actually debate
policy issues and issues that are important with someone who at the very least knows the bare minimum
and who has competing ideas, who is actually challenging us to some level
we haven't gotten that
we have gotten an imbecile whose excuse to everything is- see, they are doing it too!
as though its a toddler we are dealing with
a buffoon who did not put up even one idea worthy of debate
an asshole who wants to blame everyone else and shame everyone else for actions that he did
and we also had to cringe knowing that he thinks its okay to grab at women without consent
and whose apology consists of pointing to other men and saying, they are doing it too
as though we dont know too well that there is a group of men culpable of this kind of behaviour,
and that we do our best to avoid, to surround ourselves with men who will stand up for our humanity.
we didnt get that during this election
its unfortunate. because i believe hillary would be formidable, against any such challenge
instead, she has to lower herself to a level where she pretends that the other candidate is a credible opponent
