Some insight...
Real actors cost money AND netflix has no residuals (it aint like spotify cuz no ads) so its all upfront basically..
Actually talked to my cousin (Jimmy Smits) about it a month ago and he mentioned it was basically shot like a movie (in look) more than a tv show so I imagine there were additonal costs there as well..
