13060769, I can't be more clear, that's the entire implication with the inhaler

"The defense reasoning is bc box felt the inhaler doesn't fit. If that is true, that doesn't mean box has his doubts. That means its just one piece of evidence that doesn't fit HIS theory of how it went down. He obviously was lying about being concerned for his health. He's never once expressed his doubts about NAz being the killer, and despite his melancholy about retiring there's nothing specific that points to his having doubts."

well no, that's exactly what it means

whether you think his concern is genuine or not is moot

the idea is, if you believe the evidence is strong enough to convict

and/or not investigate other leads, etc...

you wouldn't have to manipulate the crime scene

and the inhaler would fit your theory

i.e. it doesn't, so he removed it

that is Box expressing his doubt, otherwise it would have stayed

"Once the evidence that pointed to him, they arrested him, booked him, gathered more evidence and tried to get a confession. What was supposed to be different?"

yeah, that's not what happened

he sat

for AWHILE

violent murderer just hanging out at the precinct

if Box was convinced, like I said, there were angles he could have played to pressure a confession

that's not how he played it, again, that is how he is expressing his doubt

what would have went different, IMO, once again, is Box could have leveraged all of the evidence into convincing Naz to confess

even if he didn't do it

he was disoriented enough, IMO, that Box could have gotten that confession if he pressed

he didn't.

"I obviously understand why Naz asked if she's dead, but to the police that was evidence of how he knew info he shouldn't have known."

well, he didn't know, right...that's why he asked

he panicked at the sight and bolted

she could have very well survived for all he knew

i.e. if he killed her, why would he ask if she's dead?

"i still don't see anything that box has said/done that points to him having doubts about Naz' guilt or feeling bothered for 'railroading' him.

Being generally sad when doing things that have nothing to do with the case ain't it.
Giving naz the inhaler ain't it either."

last time

as per this part of the thread

we're considering Box's character as a career homicide detective

you're just discarding these irregularities as nothing to see

we're saying, homie's been slam dunking dudes for decades

this case is a layup

and he's making conscious mistakes

you want him to vocalize his doubts

but he's doing it with his actions

as per the beginning of this reply, he could have easily leveraged some sort of confession out of Naz that first night, IMO

he didn't = expressing his doubt.

evidence >>> confession

he could have gotten that confession, IMO

but his initial doubt told him not to

and now the evidence will support his instinct not to press

as pieces don't fit, and other suspects come into play
