they thought it was weird he was hanging out with kids but saw/heard that he was involved with the church. what other 22 year old from the neighborhood could get away with hanging out with kids at 7-Eleven unless people could say "oh thats the boy who sings in the choir". volunteering at an elementary school? i wouldve been asked him straight up if he is studying to become a teacher and ask for transcripts. aint no 22 year old boy with even a heart of gold gonna volunteer like that.
major fail by the community in this situation. those people who initially "thought it was weird" are monsters too.
