Inside the residence without a significant trail to the glove? If one nearly beheads two people then enters a house and leaves one glove wouldn't there be bloody footprints of some sort? Wouldn't the killers DNA be inside the glove e.g. hair and skin?

I guess it's unlikely that the evidence was planted because as the Walter Scott case has shown police do not tamper with evidence and if such tampering is witnessed by law encorcement it'll definitely be condemned.
