Ecclesiastes 10:19 is a piece of a larger teaching regarding the rulers of a land and NOT about your personal wealth. That he is trying to take this one passage and make it about personal finance is disingenuous at best.

Ecclesiastes 10 talks about how a country/land will prosper or fail due to the actions or wisdom of its rulers. If the rulers and his princes are wise and just, the people will have what they need and they would be foolish to admonish him. If the rulers are foolish then the kingdom suffers. Solomon offers this as a narrative on how the kingdom and its people interact and are intertwined.

... at no point is it about personal finances.

They don't want to call for peace then.
