meaning, the drivers are taught not to expect them and the passengers are told its "not necessary"
so i'm not thinking about tips when i'm driving for Uber
short answer: you are not a dirtbag :) you don't have to tip unless you really truly feel compelled. even then, we are told to refuse first, and only take it if you insist.
