>all this "hormone" talk is beyond foolish. only approved
>hormones given to livestock is rBGH (recombinant BOVINE growth
>hormone) given to milk cows to help them produce more milk.
>even if there was other hormones given to cows it wouldn't
>effect you at all ... BECAUSE YOU'RE NOT A COW!!! they've

>do we still believe in this idea that livestock meat is
>somehow full of hormones?

hormones occur naturally in these animals, in addition to the supplemented ones. high levels of meat consumption and low levels of veg consumption are associated with increases in obesity, disease, mortality etc etc.

>as far as antibiotics animals get sick just like humans do.
>when they get sick, they give them hormones to get better.

i think you mean antibiotics. .

>it's well documented that sick animals given antibiotics are
>separated out from the rest of the animals until they are
>better. when no more antibiotics are detected in their

>seriously think "organic" farms just let their livestock get
>sick and let them suffer without giving them antibiotics that
>could help them get better, you're delusional (and i'm pretty
>sure that's against the law). let's forget the fact that
>you're willing to believe that these antibiotics could survive
>not only the animals death, processing and COOKING to somehow
>have an effect on you.

you should read up on this because it's the normal factory farming process to put antibiotics in all feed for all the animals whether they're sick or not. if you enjoy eating and you feel great that's great. different strokes for different folks.
