However, the problem that I have with this whole situation is the hypocrisy.

I understand that Snoop is a star and nearly anything he does will make news. However, in my opinion it's really unfortunate that him being Snoop makes this 100x worse but this kind of stuff is why Snoop is popular in the first place.

If people were really this upset why not just ignore him as this outrage has only been publicity for him? Not to mention he does have a new album out and probably wouldn't mind a little controversy.

Seems like a non issue, Snoop will lose no sleep and still be famous. This woman will fade into obscurity again. And the rest of the world will just lump this with the rest of the stuff he's done already and little to none will harbor a grudge with him.

Apparently only a conspiratorial nutjob would believe that this is a publicity stunt.
