Yes!!!!
12730042, I honestly was not a regular watcher until this current era, I grew up
Posted by Nodima, Wed Feb-18-15 11:03 AM
on the Comedy Central re-run blocks, which meant while Ferrell and Oteri and the rest were on I was mainly watching the Myers/Sandler cast over and over and over, and then when Fey and Poehler and Forte were on I was watching Ferrell and Oteri.

So I've never been caught up in the casts at their most popular until about the Sudeikis eras, so I feel like I kind of missed something with all the greats of my childhood.

That said, if I were speaking from my childhood which was when I truly deeply cared about SNL, it's either Hartman or Farley. Hartman because he made me feel smart without seeming condescending the way Miller could (though I will definitely say Miller was one of the best cast members during his seasons, bad contemporary reputation be damned) and Farley because if you were a farting, ball slapping elementary school kid in the 90s Farley was absolutely everything.

Will gets most of the publicity from that era but those 3 helped hold the show down too.

12730171, Oteri is so physical with her work...
Posted by Af-1, Wed Feb-18-15 11:58 AM
She literally put everything into what she was doing.
12730354, The Ferrell and Oteri Era was the strongest in it's history
Posted by Buddy_Gilapagos, Wed Feb-18-15 01:03 PM
And anyone who wants to go all the way back to the beginning probably hasn't seen those old belushi episodes in a minute.

I will never think much of Oteri though because Tracey Morgan HATED Oteri and Chris Kattan for some reason he described as being Shady.

The Tina Fey Era is overrated. I really think the show wasn't that good on her watch.

I think the Second best era was Hartman, Lovitz, Tim Meadow days.
