What I can say though, is that going back to it....you realize a few things. I actually felt like damn...I wish I had ventured outside of our Black circle a bit more. And maybe that wasn't all that possible, since I wasn't an athlete and really had no reason to roll with the White people there...but still, I feel that the cliquish ways of High schoolers (hell, of humans) can limit our overall potential. And I say that because most of the "clique" I rolled with is doing decent as a whole, but surely not exceptional....and that's actually the reason that noooooone of my boys came back. Most felt like they weren't doing well enough to even want to show their face. When I told them that barely anyone from our class was doing "great"...they were just like "damn....well....that shit was still probably wack!"
