The contrast of having Sasha as a freshman at MIT vs. Richard who was traumatized by violence and now in prison for longer than necessary due to some personal vendetta the judge had against him seems so unjust, despite the very poor decision and extreme nature of the prank Richard pulled. I think about all the bad pranks I pulled at that age and all the group bullying I participated in and was subject to, and it just seems like such a terrible outcome. Maybe Sasha will step out of his identity issues and do something about bringing the social ills he grew up next door to to light.
