i'd act differently if Xtians were a persecuted minority in our society and especially if my ppl were involved in your ppl's persecution. b/c i believe in punching UP and not punching down (http://thoughtcatalog.com/liz-labacz/2014/07/punching-up-and-the-rules-of-comedy/). but that is very much not the case and so i'm comfortable w/what i've said. i punched up, not down so it's fine, IMO.

if you feel the need to act violently against me of course you're in the wrong however i've said something somewhat provocative and downright insulting to your faith so i understand your violent reaction though it is not tolerable in our society. still, i understand that risk and given this circumstance i'm willing to accept it.
