to visit another friend of ours a few years back. This was around 2006 or 2007, we went to see the Black Keys play there. Anyway, we spent the whole day drinking, went to Harpoon early in the afternoon, pre-gamed at the house then went to the show. After the show, the one friend who actually lives in Boston wanted to head home with her boyfriend so she asked if we were good to take a cab back to her place. We said we were so they dipped.

So 3 drunken dudes that have no clue where they are just wandering Boston late at night. Most places started closing long before we realized they would because we're used to NY hours. After a while we figure we should get a cab but have no luck getting one whatsoever. Not sure why but we couldn't hail one or get one we called to pick up. So we're just walking around and this dude pulls up in a little Toyota and just asks us where we're trying to go. We tell him we're trying to get a cab to Southie and he just offers to give us a ride. For absolutely no reason, he lets us in his car and drives us probably 25 or 30 mins out of his way. We even tried to throw him some loot at the end of the ride but he refused.

We probably could have gotten a cab eventually so it wasn't like he saved our lives but that was super generous of him to pick up 3 drunken fools he didn't even know like that. We could have been maniacs for all he knows.
