This just has the added layer of race in it. I'm not a fan of Iggy, but she is hip hop. She should, however know the history and she should have respect for it.
Is it a bit corny for her to just say hey I'm gonna do what these folks in Atlanta are doing and really contribute her own unique contribution artistically? Yes. But let's be real....Sugar Hill Gang did the same thing. They copied the real rappers from The Bronx, right down to stealing rhymes. This ain't nothing new.
