Its been him and her since birth. 14yr olds have social lives but with a teenage daughter you have to monitor that. Between school and her activities both are busy. And he's not that kosher leaving her alone most times.

Not a lot of time for spontaneous.

Her mom is a hot mess and really is in and out her life once a year for 3 weeks.

I had floated the idea of them coming with me on my trip home since shes out of school and it would be a good break and a good time for us. Hot mess mom who has been MIA most of this year decides she wants to come onto town for the holidays and be mom for 2 weeks.

So I am going home solo. We may end up remaining friends because I just don't know how to navigate some of that.
