His Funk is definitely Black Music. It's just not that interesting. Bruno Mars, or Mark Ronson, is taking the most interesting elements of Black Funk and making it Pop friendly.
You'll hate it but would love Mark Ronson to go into the studio with Prince and keep him focused.
