This exactly what I'm saying above about how people don't know how to articulate to her what they see in her. She asks and she gets something similar to this. I'm big on the idea that we rob people of the chance to grow when we can't tell them our issues with them. If she doesn't receive it or use it to change, that's on her, but it's a little harder to fault a person when no one can tell them the issue. She's going out of her way to try to get along with people, kinda doing her best in some ways. There's a part of this that's innocent, even though I know she's tough to deal with.
