I don't think she saw the eagle as it was hitting her since it was from behind, so moving forward and keeping her balance on the bicycle without knowing when the eagle was going to hit her probably freaked her out a bit.

I just wonder how much worse that incident would have been if she didn't have a helmet on.

I also wonder what that eagle's end game was there; just to knock her off the bike off GP?
