I dunno what else she said but that part of the story stuck out to me. Probably bc I have friends whose parents literally tried to beat the gay out of them as kids. All it did was give my friends a host of problems and it created distance between them and their parents. Meanwhile I'm gay as fuck and grew up hating girl shit. And I have 2 hetero homies who played with dolls as kids. And studies show kids who play with the opposite gender's toys don't necessarily become gay adults. We put too much on all of that.
