The sexism in the entertainment industry is so blatantly obvious to anyone and I know that you know all this.....but women have to be beautiful to have a career. Good looking men have an advantage too....but let's face it, men like Phillip Seymour Hoffman can have a successful career without looking like a model. It's incredibly rare for a woman to do something like that in the equivalent. And even if they do (like Kathy Bates or someone like that) they have a pretty rigid ceiling in exactly how far they can go in terms of accolades and awards.

So she's a victim too. I think that she's made the mistake of neglecting intersectionality and her back-pedalling seemed to acknowledge that.
