There may very well be people more deserving like Lauren Hill, but if this award wasn't going to Jenner and just some other person who's not a big news story, most people wouldn't give a shit about her not winning, or even notice.
it reminds me of Obama winning the nobel peace prize. even if he wasn't deserving of it, people only actually cared about in in the context of 'fuck him'
