I feel like he knew that he was getting sicker and he kinda released all those beats into the world for a reason. Knowing about the power of the Internet and that they would spread like wildfire. I think that it's only right that a tribute compilation be done over some of those beats. But not just any old emcees. Like all his close peoples. The ones that sounded best over his classic stuff and helped him get some light. SV of course, Frank & Dank, Big Tone, Lacks, Phat Kat, Guilty Simpson, Madlib, Common, Tip (or Tip & Phife if they could make that happen), De La, Busta. That's just a quick list. I am sure there are plenty more. And have all the procees from record sales go to his mom. Just an idea. I'd be first in line to purchase.

Peace....

It is in the works as we speak....hopefully it'll be out before the year is over. But trust me, it is being worked on. Everything will be donated to Mrs. Yancey and it has the official blessings of Mrs. Yancey. You'll know when it comes out....can't really speak upon it, but just had to let you know that this idea is already in effect.

Blessings,

And if you're involved w/ the project in some capacity as well, I know it's already in good hands.

Yeah a good friend of mine and I had this idea as soon as we heard Donuts.
It's just so hard for myself or ANY emcee to truly do those or any Dilla beat justice.. you know?
