16119, I cannot EXPLAIN to y'all how frustrating it is when a program crashes... Posted by 4D, Thu Sep-28-06 09:35 PM
I was working on this KILLER beat, it was the best thing I've done all week, and suddenly some glitch occurs, and I can't play my files or copy them anywhere, and the program quits!!!!!
UUUUUUGGGGHHHH!!!!!!!
That shit was gonna be SOOOOOO dope too!
JESUS!!!! Good God...sooooo frustrating.
Then I went to the recovered files to see what I could get, and it hat literally split the project into 244 different parts.
DAMN...so not cool...lol.
I don't even know if I have it in me to redo that whole shit tonight...I had done so much to it.
I ain't Dilla...I can't redo "Breathe and Stop" at the drop of a dime, haha.

But one thing I've learned : Work with the mistakes . Sometimes mistakes teach you a better way to re-sequence your work ...Not always , but it depends on how you perceive the " glitches ": 1- A chance to remix your work 2- A way to see if you're committed to your work 3- A song that is not meant to be
Basicaly , " Don't set yourself to fall in love with your work " Otherwise , you stunt your musical growth .I'm sure you've heard of a lot of "masterpieces" that were a fruit of "studio fuck-up"
Take in stride and remember the lessons, you might create a masterpiece by just emulating those unwanted mistakes .
One.
